Our cloister courtyards have been a nesting site for ducks as long as the Sisters can remember.  Each year at least one mother duck lays her eggs in the courtyard just outside the Sisters' chapel.  After hatching, mom and ducklings process through our halls to get to the creek in our backyard.  This year, mom announced (by pecking on the door with her bill) her intent to move on at the start of Mothers' Day.  Approximately four attempts and one day later, she actually began the migration - with a little help from the Nuns!  We hope you enjoy the video.
